The Master Chl Atheeir Range![]() With this third Figurine in the Worlds End series we decided to give the bad guys a run out too. Master Chl'Atheeir is the schemer for the invading horde that is the Aoevill Empire. We are sure you will agree he is a fine accompaniment to Gweldar and Ralf. He is scaled to complement the Ralf Figurine perfectly in size. We are looking to produce a new full figure Gweldar, Geek and Zephol along with a superb looking Storm Serpent and Sergeant Qu'Aeltos over the coming months with Lord Dhakross and Lord Gralltharr to follow after these, all scaled to perfection. This magnificent sculpture has been produced by sculpture supremo, Choi Chow from Gensen Figure of Hong Kong. Tim was contacted by one the guys, Chris, at Gensen a while ago, when they found Wizards Keep as one of the exhibitors on the Bristol International Comics Expo website, and that we were looking to produce a series of Figurines based on the Worlds End graphic novel. Stage 1:Well everyone here are the concept drawings and the first photos of the sculpt for the third of the figurines in the "Worlds End" range. Here you can see the concept drawings for a Model of "Master Chl'Atheeir", one of the main bad guys of the "Worlds End" graphic novel. ![]() Concept Drawings for the Master Chl'Atheeir Full Figure Figurine - Design and Artwork - Tim Perkins
Stage 2:The sculpt is by Chinese sculptor supreme – Choi Chow, whose work has been seen amongst the Manga and Anime fraternity Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding of our wishes to display multiple photographs as a work in progress from the guys at Gensen and ![]() Earliest photograph of the process for the Master Chl'Atheeir Full Figure Figurine - Sculptor Choi Chow

Stage 3:Here are some more of the photographs from the initial batch sent through to us. Again these show off the exquisite detailing and accuracy to the look of Tim's character. What has impressed us is the body language mimicking Tim's drawing perfectly from 2D to 3D. The detailing on the face is unbelievable and the costume is exactly right. ![]() Master Chl'Atheeir Front POV - Full Figure Figurine - Most of main detailing complete - Sculptor Choi Chow

There was some confusion about the finish and here we see a glossy look, which needed to be amended. But it still looked cool. ![]() Master Chl'Atheeir Front POV - Gloss Painted - Sculptor Choi Chow

Stage 7:The next photographs that came through showed another prototype in copper effect. This was meant to simulate a bronze effect, but looked a little too much like copper, but gave us an indication of how it would look in metal. ![]() Master Chl'Atheeir Back POV - Bronze (Copper) Effect Paintwork - Sculptor Choi Chow
Along with this prototype came a second full colour painted version, this time in a matt finish. ![]() Master Chl'Atheeir Back POV - Fully Painted - Matt Finish - Sculptor Choi Chow

These last batch of photographs really show the finished sculpture in all its glory... Over the weekend of the Bristol International Comics Expo on May 10th and 11th the Figurines all went down a storm. Unfortunately there was a problem with the fully painted prototype and it did not arrive with the metallic version so we could only display This Figurine completes the first three models in the Worlds End range. The amount of detail and accuracy of the piece to Tim's concept art Seeing them at this finished prototype in such a short space of time is incredible and shows just how much all the stops were pulled out by All that remains is to say a very BIG public thank you to Choi Chow, and the painters and guys over at Gensen, whose skills and professionalism
Master Chl'Atheeir will be available for pre-order soon. |
