Joe Rubinstein - Tim Perkins Collaboration14 March 2008 Great news as top US inker Joe Rubinstein has been hired to ink an Illustration by Tim for the "Worlds End" Ashcan. Joe's work has graced, just about every character at the "Big Two" American comics companies Marvel and DC amongst lots of others. His list of credits extend to series like, The Avengers, Spider-Man, The Infinity Gauntlet, Dr. Strange, The Phantom, The Justice League Daredevil, Wolverine, He was part of the legendary inking team known as the Crusty Bunkers formed by Neil Adams at his Continuity Studios that would be set in motion to work collectively on comics jobs that were close to deadline. He has worked with over 400 artists in his time in the comics business, having worked from his middle teens (he worked on Doctor Strange with Frank Brunner when he was about 14 years old). Names such as Jim Starlin, Franks Millar (of Sin City and The 300 fame), Dick Giordano, John Byrne, Joe Kubert, Bob Brown, Gene Colan, John Buscema, Bill Sienkiewicz, Frank Brunner, Jose Garcia-Lopez, Al Milgrom, and Don Newton, amongst a great many others. This is the first time both artists have collaborated and Tim hopes it will be the first of many such collaborations. We are awaiting news back from a select few artists that have also been invited to produce their interpretations of the "Worlds End" characters and will report immediately as soon as we hear anything. |
