Gweldar Figurine Update27 April 2008 Grand Launching of the Gweldar Figurine:We will be officially launching the figurines at Bristol International Comics Expo over the weekend of May 10th and 11th and we will be adding more photos as the different versions come in from the manufacturers. We are looking at launching:
When the Figurines have all been manufactured, the moulds will be destroyed and there will be no more made. Once the final pieces have been sold the Figurine will then be classed as a retired piece. The detailing on Gweldar is exquisite and has to be seen for real to truly appreciate what a wonderful job of sculpting Sean has done for us. We can say with hand on heart these photos do not do the actual quality of the sculpt justice. Please feel free to come back soon and check out the additional photographs of the various versions available to purchase. *Following the launch of the Unpainted Multipart Kits we will be launching a new section to the website which will hopefully will see YOUR "works of art" contained in the pages. We plan on launching a worldwide competition, details below: *Grand Gweldar Competition*The idea is this, when you buy a Gweldar Kit you can put him together and paint him up, however you like. So you can scratch build and convert him as you see fit and you can paint him any colour you see fit too. The entry into the competition could not be simpler. Send off Jpegs of your completed Gweldar to gweldarcompetition@wizards-keep.com and you will be automatically entered. Your photographs will then be placed inside the Competition section of the website amongst all the others entries. Judging will take place on May 10th 2009The pieces will be judged on originality, standard of workmanship and attention to detail. Don't worry if you have not got a digital camera simply send off good size (6" x 4") and good quality, hard copy photographs and we will scan it in here at the studio, although if you can send them digitally, that would be better. Please remember to put your names, ages and your full postal address, including Postal/Zip Code with your entry(s). We would also like to hear what made you choose the way you built and painted your Gweldar Figurine. The judges will consist of Tim, Sean, Paul, Margaret and a special guest judge (more nearer the time). Date of closure of the competition:Midnight - May 9th 2009 So get your entry or entries in with time to spare. Multiple entries are accepted although only one will win of course. Prizes:There are three Winning Prizes. One for each of the age groups - 6 to 11 years - 12 to 16 years - 17 and above. The winning entry prize will be a special sculpture, only available to the winners. There will be two runners up in each group and these will each win a signed copy of the Worlds End graphic novel. All that remains is to say a very BIG public thank you to Sean Green, whose skills and professionalism enabled us to launch our Figurines range and to wish you all Good Luck and let you know we are looking forward to seeing what you do with YOUR Gweldar... Look for the latest news on the Master Chl'Atheeir Figurine in the Figurines section of the website.
