Bristol International Comic Expo 200829 April 2008 Bristol International Comics Expo 2008Convention Secrets:Well as things get very near and Tim is chained to the computer now, feverishly working on the artwork for the ashcan, we can tell you a few secrets kept from you all before now. As you no doubt know by now the new Figurines of Gweldar, Ralf and Master Chl'Atheeir will be on display as will the ashcan of Worlds End, which will contain the first few pages of artwork from the Graphic Novel, plus some artwork by two other guys in the comics industry, namely; John Ridgway and US artist Frank Ziggarelli. Also inside the book you find production work, sketches, the cover by Tim and inked by US legendary inker Joe Rubinstein. For a sneak peak at the cover click here: Ashcan Cover Preview ...And now the good bit: Each ashcan purchased over the weekend of the convention comes with an official money back voucher. So the ashcan costs £1.50 and you get a voucher for £2.50, which means you don't pay for the ashcan in the long run and you get a pound off the price of the "Worlds End" Graphic Novel, when it is released in 2009. Just keep them safe until then, as they can only be redeemed by sending them off with the order or by bringing them along to any future shows where the same thing applies. This is our way of thanking you guys for your much-valued support. Also on display will be the last remaining comics published in the 1990's by Pultiam Press of Dark Crusade issue #1, which were found earlier in the year when rummaging around in the deep dark depths of the Keep archives. Once these last remaining black and white comics are gone...there are no more. Also new to Wizards Keep are some luxury Worlds End Mouse Mats, which are too good to run a mouse over, so buy two. Then there are the usual products:Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Sketch Books Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Giclee Prints Worlds End "On The Run" Posters Bookmarks Original Artwork from work produced by Tim for Marvel, DC, 2000AD Newsstand, Toontastic and more. There will also be "FREEBIES" given out through out the weekend at strategic times, so keep a look out and be lucky. This is your chance to have stuff signed by both Tim and Paul Roberts, writer of Dark Crusade. You can also ask Tim to sketch for you over the weekend too, where he will be able to produce a small number of sketches. Until then:There will be more photographs uploaded onto the website for the finished Ralf and Master Chl'Atheeir Figurines over the next few days. Tim apologises for a lack of Blogs this last few weeks, but the deadlines to get things ready for May 10th have had to take precedence. See you all soon. |
